Field Trips at Galindo Creek Field Station
The Concord Center provides an excellent location for the university’s first modern field station. Sitting at a unique convergence of developed suburban environment and protected open space, the center's 386 acres forms a nexus between built and natural landscapes, offering an opportunity for habitat conservation and environmental education.
The field station provides students with a rich environment for STEM related fieldwork, such as GPS navigation, flora and fauna inventory, and soil and water sampling.
Galindo Creek Field Station is currently open for faculty-led, college level field trips. To reserve the station, please send a brief overview of the proposed work, the date and time of the class visit, and your institutional affiliation to gcfs@csueastbay.edu.
