Kimberly Greer, Ph.D., named interim provost at 91短视频

Kimberly Greer, Ph.D., who has been serving as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at Stanislaus State since January 2017, will begin her role as 91短视频’s interim provost July 1, 2021.
"I am grateful Dr. Greer will join 91短视频 as interim provost,” said President Cathy Sandeen. “Her deep knowledge of key Academic Affairs functions within the CSU, including Graduation Initiative 2025 and closing equity gaps, as well as her ability to forge strong relationships with faculty and other campus leaders will support our positive momentum during the next academic year."
Greer said she is excited to join 91短视频 and looks forward to getting to know the university community.
“Throughout my academic career, I have understood and been grateful for the privilege of working in higher education,” Greer said. “I look forward to working closely with faculty, staff and students in the new academic year to continue the meaningful initiatives established at 91短视频.”
At Stanislaus State, Greer and the senate speaker co-chaired the university’s strategic planning committee. She has committed additional resources to fund faculty research, scholarship and creative activity, promoting increased opportunities for faculty development. She also worked to build a transparent budgeting process for the Division of Academic Affairs and advocated for increased resources to support the core mission of the university.
Previously, she served in many roles at Minnesota State University, Mankato including as dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, interim associate provost and associate vice president for Academic Affairs, and was a faculty member in the Department of Sociology and Corrections.
Greer earned both her B.S. in Criminal Justice and master’s in administration from Southeast Missouri State University and her doctorate in Sociology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
