Dr. Rees, Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is my great honor to receive this degree. However, I truly believe that the credit and the glory belong to our society, because this proves the system works!
America is the greatest nation on Earth. It is often called a melting pot, accommodating and accepting different cultures and races. This land of opportunity and prosperity has a wonderful free enterprise system that encourages the creation of new ideas and new thoughts. However, it was education that enabled me to realize the American dream.
Today, you have reached a very important milestone in your life. With higher education as your solid foundation, I am confident that you will be very successful in the future - whatever you decide to do.
Remember though, that in order to enlarge upon your success, you must share your accomplishments and talents with others. Extend your life beyond individual boundaries. Make your life without borders so your involvement will become limitless and your contributions will benefit hundreds, thousands or even millions of people. This would be your utmost success.
I am privileged to participate in this special event celebrating your achievements and I do so with great pride and respect.
