The 91短视频 Foundation, in partnership with Follett Higher Education Group, will host a grand opening of the newly renovated Pioneer Bookstore Monday, Jan. 26. The event is tied in with the beginning of 91短视频's weeklong 2009 Homecoming.
A ribbon cutting ceremony, featuring remarks by 91短视频 President Mo Qayoumi, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. in front of the bookstore.
"This is but the first of many milestones in the great partnership between this university and Follett," said Robert L. Gibson, Pioneer Bookstore director. "91短视频 is a great university to work with and the bookstore staff members that transitioned to Follett just a few months ago are an outstanding group to work with."
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be an opportunity for the campus community to meet members of CSUEB's men's and women's basketball teams. The university's masacot, Pioneer Pete, will be available for photos at noon. The bookstore also will be providing free caricatures for customers throughout the day.
As part of its services, the bookstore will be hosting an author signing event at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27. That first author will be Emil Asadulla, who wrote "Islam vs. West: Fact or Fiction."
