91短视频 Finishes 22nd in Hawaii

KOHALA COAST, Hawai'i - The 91短视频 men's golf team opened the 2010 spring campaign this week at the Amer Ari Invitational hosted by Hawai'i Hilo at the Mauna Lani Course. The Pioneers shot a 105-over 969 over three rounds and were led by Garrett Baxley's 22-over 238.

Baxley was the East Bay leader after Thursday's first round, coming into the clubhouse with a 3-over 75 but struggled against windy conditions in the second round, posting an 86 to finish the day 17-over. Andrew Walters' 11-over 83 was the Pioneers' best score in the second round.

Friday's final round saw a much-improved performance from East Bay as Jordan Cimino led the team with its best score of the tournament, shooting a 2-over 74. Baxley was close behind with his 77, while Walters finished the final 18 holes with an 8-over 80.

All told, Baxley tied for 99th, while Walters finished in a tie for 105th with his 24-over 240. Wes Davis notched a 246 to open the spring, while Cimino shot a 249 and Sean Callahan posted a 262 to round out the Pioneer squad.

Stanford took the tournament title, shooting a two-over 866 as a team. Oregon and Washington tied for second with a five-over 869, while Texas and Oklahoma State rounded out the top five. Texas' Bobby Hudson took home the individual title with a seven-under 209, while Florida State's Brooks Koepka, who finished second, recorded the best round of the tournament with a seven-under 65 on Friday.

The Pioneers now take a break from competitive action before return to the links on Feb. 28 when they play in the Cal State San Bernardino Invitational at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino.
