SFSU re-opended a nine point lead with nine minutes remaining before Cal State East Bay shrank the lead to just two again two minutes later, trailing 50-48 after a 9-2 run capped by a trey from Nelson. The Gators were undeterred, however, regaining a 59-50 advantage with 4:24 left.
