Pioneers Place 10th at NDNU Argonaut Invitational

LIVERMORE, Calif. - The 91短视频 men’s golf team finished 10th out of 16 teams in the NDNU Argonaut Invitational on March 21-23. East Bay finished with a three round score of 88-over-par 915.

Freshman Andrew Walters' 3-over 219 paced the Pioneers and was good for a 12th-place finish among 80 individual golfers. Walters shot an even 72 in both the first and third rounds, while tying with senior Jordan Cimino for the lowest single round on the team.

Cimino finished 27th overall with his nine-over 225, opening the tournament with an even 72 in the first round. Sophomore Justin Tambunting was third on the team with a score of 235 to place 60th, while Sean Callahan posted a 244. Wes Davis rounded out the group, shooting a 245 to tie for 74th overall.

Cal State Stanislaus captured the team title with its 33-over 860 through three rounds. Cal State Monterey Bay's Scott Yeakel collected individual honors with his eight-under 208, shooting two rounds of 69 to finish the tournament. Chico State's Brandon Harkins finished fourth but posted the best round of the tournament, opening with a six-under 66 in the first round.

The Pioneers return to action April 4-6 when they travel to Seaside for the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational at Bayonet Golf Club.
