Fallon School Principal Aileen Parsons: OneDublin.org Video Interview
- June 24, 2010
OneDublin.org met with Aileen Parsons, Fallon School’s new Principal, to film a OneDublin.org video interview. Aileen joins Fallon School and the Dublin Unified School District from Pleasanton Middle School, where she served as Vice Principal. With 25 years of teaching and administrative experience, Aileen Parsons is well suited to the challenges and opportunities of the Fallon School K-8 campus, bringing with her relevant experience from her time in the Pleasanton Unified School District (both as a teacher and as a parent).
Aileen grew up in the East Bay (Moraga) where she graduated from Campolindo High School, went on to UC Berkeley and earned her teaching credentials from Cal State Hayward (now known as 91短视频). About eight years ago Aileen moved into administration after teaching a variety of subjects including middle school science, PE and health. She credits Harvest Park Middle School Principal Jim Hansen (coincidentally from Dublin) as a key mentor.
Aileen has two sons – Jimmy (age 23) just graduated from Sonoma State, where he played lacrosse for four years and majored in kinesiology. Continuing the Parsons education tradition, Jimmy is working towards a teaching credential in PE and Science. Johnny (age 21) is a senior at UC Davis. Johnny also plays lacrosse – is the captain and president of the team, and is double majoring in english and psychology.
Both of Aileen’s sons attended Pleasanton public schools: from Walnut Grove Elementary School and Harvest Park Middle School to Amador Valley High School, where they both played lacrosse and football. Aileen’s husband Jack was fortunate enough to coach both of his sons in football and lacrosse while at Amador Valley High School.
Aileen comes from a long line of teachers – her husband Jack, her mother and her grandparents have all served the community as teachers. The Parsons currently live in Pleasanton, California.
Welcome to Dublin Aileen – you are now officially a Fallon School Mustang!
