Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' to be staged July 23-25 at CSUEB

Alumna Dawn Monique Williams returns to the stage at 91短视频 to adapt and direct Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.”

The show will be performed in the Music Performance Hall (room 1055 of the Music Business Building) on the university's Hayward campus, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd., July 23-25, then travel to Scotland to perform for two weeks at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival – the world’s largest performing arts festival comprised entirely of independently produced shows.

The cast includes students Sheila Christine Bostic, Jan L. Brown, Chalia Chambin Ayers-LaTour, Cheryle Marie Honerlah, Joseph H, Loper, Jennifer Marie Montes, Roger Alan Robinson Jr., Sara Prince, Sarah Dolores Vincent, and Kunpeng Wang, and alumna Mary Ann Mackey. Ayers-LaTour will also design the costumes.

“The Tempest” asks what a new world teaches us, where one woman holds the powers of advancement, liberty, redemption, and love. 

Admission is $15 general, $10 youth, seniors and alumni, and $5 for CSUEB students. Tickets may be reserved at tickets@csueastbay.edu, or by calling 510-885-3118. Parking on campus is $7 a day, enforced 24/7.
