Fall Game Notes - Week 1

The 91短视频 fall sports teams kick off the new season this weekend, hitting the road to open the 2010 campaign. Women's volleyball heads north to take on Alaska Fairbanks before competing in the Nanook Classic at the Patty Center in Fairbanks. The Pioneers will meet Bellarmine, Charleston and the host Nanooks on Friday and Saturday. The men's and women's soccer teams are taking off for the Aloha State, as they head to Honolulu to take on Hawai'i Pacific, Hawai'i Hilo and Chaminade on Oahu. Meanwhile, the men's and women's cross country teams will hit the trails at Crystal Springs in Belmont for the Notre Dame de Namur Battle of the Bay on Saturday. Pioneers Head to The Last Frontier to Kick Off Season: The 91短视频 women’s volleyball team will travel to the 49th state to open the 2010 regular season this weekend. The Pioneers (0-0) will meet Alaska Fairbanks on Thursday, before remaining in Fairbanks for the Nanook Classic where they will take on Charleston on Friday, and face Bellarmine and the Nanooks again on Saturday.
Looking Ahead: The Labor Day weekend trip will mark the first three of four non-conference matches for the Pioneers, who will take on Notre Dame de Namur in their home opener on Sept. 7 at Pioneer Gym. After a two-day break, CSUEB will then play host to No. 21 Sonoma State and Humboldt State on Sept. 10 and 11 to start the CCAA season.

Pioneer Harriers Make Trip Across the Bay: 91短视频 cross country opens its season this week, traveling to Belmont for the Notre Dame de Namur Battle of the Bay at the Crystal Springs Course. The Pioneers will kick the 2010 season off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, taking on several teams, including the host Argonauts and Cal State Monterey Bay. The women will run a 2.95 mile course, while the men face a 4.2 mile course in the rolling hills of Crystal Springs.
Looking Ahead: The Pioneers continue their eight-meet season next weekend, when they travel to Turlock to meet CCAA competition at the Cal State Stanislaus Invitational. East Bay will leave Northern California for the first time two weeks later, heading to Santa Barbara for the Westmont Invitational.

East Bay Leaves the Mainland to Open 2010 Slate: The 91短视频 men’s soccer team will spend its first weekend of the season in paradise, as it travels to Hawai’i for three games to open the 2010 campaign. The Pioneers (0-0) will meet Hawai’i Hilo on Thursday, Hawai’i Pacific on Saturday night and Chaminade on Monday in Honolulu.
Looking Ahead: Following the trip, the Pioneers return to California for their home and conference opener against No. 6 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 10, followed by a meeting with No. 12 Cal State LA on Sept. 12. The Pioneers face an early test, as the Toros and Golden Eagles were both NCAA West Regional finalists in 2009, with CSUDH reaching the national quarterfinals.

The Pioneers (0-0) are set to face Hawai’i Pacific in Thursday’s opener, before meeting Hawai’i Hilo on Saturday and Chaminade on Monday.
Looking Ahead: The Pioneers return home for an immediate test in the 2010 home and CCAA opener on Sept. 10 when they take on national runners up and fourth-ranked Cal State Dominguez Hills before facing No. 14 Cal State LA on Sept. 12. The Toros lost the national title to Grand Valley State by just one goal, while the Golden Eagles took home the 2009 CCAA Championship.
