If there was a most improved award for this season, it would definitely go to 91短视频's Megan McDaniel. At the Stanislaus Invitational, the Valencia graduate blazed a 5:46 first mile before finishing fourth in a huge all-time best of 21 minutes, 16 seconds for 6,000 meters. To give you an idea of how well the sophomore ran, before yesterday, her personal best over 5,000 meters was 19:38.11. McDaniel came through 5,000 meters in yesterdays meet in sub-19:30. And she credits much of her success so far this season to Saugus High coach Rene Paragas, as the star benefited from training with Saugus' varsity girl team and alumni this summer. Look for more from McDaniel as All -CCAA first team accolades is definitely a possibility in November's Conference Finals!
