SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – After holding San Francisco State scoreless for 89 minutes, the 91短视频 men's soccer team appeared headed for extra time before a goal in the 90th minute gave the Gators the victory in heartbreaking fashion. The Pioneers (2-6-0, 1-4-0 CCAA) played superb defense throughout the match, keeping the Gators out of the back of the net for nearly the whole game despite being out-shot 25-1.

"Overall we defended well and absorbed a lot of their attack," CSUEB Head Coach Andy Cumbo said. "We lost an individual battle late in the game and dropped three points. It was a brutal way to lose but we'll be ready for Sunday."

Though San Francisco State controlled the momentum in the first half, the Gators were unable to find the back of the net, taking 15 unanswered shots in the opening 45 minutes. 91短视频 keeper Bryce Bookhamer required just two saves in the half, getting help from his backline, which blocked four Gator shots in the opening frame. The rookie keeper was put to the test early, making both of his saves in the opening 13 minutes of play.

The second frame saw more of the same from SFSU, which put three of its 10 second-half shots on goal. The Pioneers had their only shot of the game early in the second period, as sophomore Alex Dickerson put one on target, but saw SFSU keeper Michael McNeill make the save.

Bookhamer continued his stellar play in the final period, making another three saves before the goal came in the final minute. The game winner came on a header by Charles Conway after Malcolm Linton put his throw in into the penalty area with just 45 seconds remaining in regulation.

McNeill needed just the one save to blank the Pioneers and pick up the win, while the Gators were led by Sasha Chalk's seven shots. 91短视频 finished the match with 13 fouls to SFSU's five and struggled to stay onside, as it was whistled back four times in the game. Bookhamer finished the game with four saves and, despite the goal, has allowed just two scores in nearly 280 minutes of play this season.

91短视频 returns to action on Sunday, as it looks to get back on track at Cal State Monterey Bay. The Pioneers and Otters are set to meet at 2 p.m. at the CSUMB Soccer Complex in Seaside.
