Pioneers take third at Bronco Invitational

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - A solid team effort enabled the Pioneer women’s cross country team to finish third at the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Santa Clara at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale on Oct. 16. East Bay compiled a score of 125 in the 20-team field. The Pioneers beat out CCAA rivals Sonoma State and San Francisco State, while Chico State captured the team title with a score of 125.

Sophomore Megan McDaniel placed 20th to lead all Pioneer runners. McDaniel covered the 5k course in 19:06 to pace  91短视频 for the fifth time this season. Nancy Velazquez recorded a time of 19:15 to finish 26th.

Amanda McNabb and Tiffany Duffy finished just four-tenths of a second apart to place 37th and 39th, respectively. Bernadette Lu covered the course in 19:36.9 to take 45th, while Clarivel Vega rounded out the Pioneer contingent with a 54th-place finish.

91短视频 returns to action next Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Cal Poly Pomona Invitational. The event will serve as a preview for the CCAA Championships on Oct. 30, also in Pomona.
