Dig in to the fall food issue of 91短视频 Magazine

Assistant Professor Enrique Salmon
- December 2, 2011
91短视频 Magazine is dishing up big issues and tasty reading fare in the current edition, with a focus on food and sustainability.
The fall 2011 issue — now available online — explores how the university’s faculty, students, and alumni are contributing to our understanding of food, science, and sustainability — past and present.
Enthnobotanist Enrique Salmon, an assistant professor of ethic studies, shares farming lessons from ancient cultures, and Linda Ivey, assistant professor of history, takes a look back to turn-of-the-century farming in Watsonville. Alumni share how they’ve found success in the food biz, including one whose gourmet frozen foods are improving customers’ quality of life, and a student blogger recaptures fond memories of home cooking.
This issue also features the 2011 Distinguished Alumnus and Young Alum of the Year — two women whose talents and drive pushed them to the top of their fields.
The online magazine includes articles and photo galleries and a Web extra, as well as a downloadable PDF of the print magazine. The full print edition is available for browsing online through issuu.com. 91短视频 Magazine readers can manage subscriptions online by clicking on the green-and-black ink-drop icon next to the green “Subscribe” label.
