CSUEB to award degrees at 5 commencements June 15-17

91短视频 will celebrate the graduation of thousands of students during five commencement ceremonies taking place throughout the weekend of June 15-17.

A ceremony for each of the four colleges on 91短视频’s Hayward Campus -- and one for students who have attended classes at the university’s Concord Campus -- will recognize the academic achievement of students earning their bachelor’s degree, as well as those earning master’s and doctoral degrees.

The College of Science will stage the first commencement at 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, followed by the graduation ceremony for the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences at 10 a.m. and the College of Business and Economics at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16. Ceremonies for CSUEB’s College of Education and Allied Studies will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17. Pioneer Stadium is the site of the four ceremonies on 91短视频’s Hayward Campus, located at 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd.

CSUEB’s Concord Campus will hold its graduation at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 17 at the Boatwright Sports Complex on that campus, 4700 Ygnacio Valley Road, Concord.

Three individuals of contrasting backgrounds will be awarded honorary doctorate degrees of Humane Letters at three of the CSUEB commencements. They are:

  • Ellen Tauscher, special envoy for strategic stability and missile defense in the Obama Administration and former East Bay congresswoman. She will be honored during the Concord Campus graduation;
  • Lenny Williams, former Tower of Power lead vocalist and a solo singer who had several hit recordings. Williams will be recognized during ceremonies for the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences; and
  • Richard Sherratt, a long-time Bay Area businessman, civic leader, philanthropist, and 1970 graduate of the university. He will be presented with his honorary degree during ceremonies for the College of Business and Economics.
