A digest of top, need-to-know dates, deadlines and events for faculty, staff and students, "This Month at CSUEB" is a regular feature of The View e-News. Read on for updates and previews of what’s happening at 91短视频 in the coming month:
• Come out and cheer on Pioneer student-athletes throughout September. Home games are scheduled on the Hayward Campus on the following dates: volleyball (Sept. 5, 6, 13 and 14), women’s soccer (Sept. 13, 15, 27 and 29) and men’s soccer (Sept. 5, 13, 15, 27 and 29). See the Athletics Web site for , including the cross country teams’ away meets.
• The open enrollment period, in which employees may make changes to their benefits, runs Sept. 16 through Oct. 11. Changes made will take effect Jan. 1, 2014. Human resources will send out additional information about open enrollment in upcoming email notifications.
• Get answers to your benefits and open enrollment questions Sept. 26 at the 2013 Staff and Faculty Benefits Fair. The event, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the New University Union, multipurpose rooms A and B, will feature health screenings, giveaways and raffles. Questions? • Reserve your spot ASAP for a resource table at the 25th Annual al Fresco celebration (Oct. 2) welcoming new and returning students back for fall quarter. Find the . • Wanted in September: first time joggers, fast walkers and experienced runners to join members of the 91短视频 community in support of health, fitness and area charities. Train with others of similar ability in a fun, relaxed and encouraging atmosphere to participate in the 10K portion of the Berkeley Half Marathon Nov. 24. Training and registration is free and organized through LEEP (Leadership and Employment Enrichment Program). • CSUEB is seeking outgoing and energetic volunteers to assist with Preview Day (Oct. 19). The annual event lets some 1,000 prospective freshmen, transfer students and their families explore the array of academic programs and student services available.
