Hayward forum to review pros, cons of proposed new library

HAYWARD -- A community forum is scheduled Oct. 25 to consider whether the city should replace its Main Library and how it would be paid for.
Speakers will include Sean Reinhart, Hayward library and community services director; Kim Geron, chair of the 91短视频 political sciences department; Kari McAllister, library commissioner and a member of Friends of the Hayward Public Library; and Frank Goulart, attorney and community activist.
Results of a community survey concerning the library will be shared at the event hosted by the Eden Area League of Women Voters, Friends of the Hayward Library and American Association of University Women Hayward/Castro Valley Chapter.
The forum also will consider whether other public buildings should be included in any funding proposal for a new library.
