CSUEB Makes National Publication’s Diversity Rankings

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s commitment to producing diverse graduates and preparing them for careers in STEM fields has earned recognition by a national publication. The magazine Diverse: Issues in Higher Education recently compiled rankings of “Top Producers of Minority STEM Graduates” and “Top Producers of Asian American Graduates” by major and degree, and 91¶ÌÊÓƵ was included on several lists.
In its , the magazine ranks 91¶ÌÊÓƵ at No. 4 in the nation on the list of total minority students earning master’s degrees in mathematics and statistics. CSUEB was ranked behind Columbia, Polytechnic Institute of New York University and Long Beach State.
91¶ÌÊÓƵ also earned several top 50 rankings in the for the number of Asian American students it graduates. The university is No. 8 for Asian American students earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations and 40th for master’s students in the same field. It is also 36th for graduating Asian Americans with a master’s degree in education and 47th for a bachelor of arts degree in social sciences.
The rankings were created through an analysis of U.S. Department of Education reports of preliminary 2012-2013 data submitted by institutions.
