91短视频 Magazine and 91短视频’s communications team are being recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education .

Each spring, CASE recognizes excellence in communications at educational institutions worldwide. This year, the university took home three District VII silver awards and one bronze award.

"We are proud of our team who is producing high caliber, award-winning communications,” said Tanya Hauck, vice president of university advancement. “It is further evidence of a growing recognition of the rising creativity and credibility of 91短视频." 

The cover of the earned the first silver award. The design features actor and singer James Monroe Iglehart (BA ’98, Theater), who won a Tony (Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical) for his 2014 performance of Genie in the Broadway musical “Aladdin.”

The same issue of the magazine, entitled “East Bay to Broadway,” also won silver in the category of General Interest Magazines, Circulation 75,000 or more, as well as a bronze award in the category of Design: Editorial Design for the layout of the Iglehart article, “The Big Plan.” The article chronicles Iglehart’s journey from a Hayward teenager with big dreams but little college ambition, to a standout theater major at 91短视频, to a professional Bay Area theater actor, to Broadway.

The university took home a third silver in the category of Marketing: Advertising — Individual Ads for the 2015 Science Festival poster.

The four 2016 CASE District VII Awards of Excellence represent a spike in professional recognition for CSUEB. Just last year, the university won its first CASE award, a bronze, for a series of light post banners on campus, which were photographed by Graphic Designer Garvin Tso. The honors all come under the leadership of Associate Vice President of Communications Jeff Bliss, Director of Creative Services Jesse Cantley, and Editor Krista Dossetti, who joined the team for the Winter 2015 magazine issue.  

Leaders of CASE District VII report that there were over 500 entries in 61 categories this year. District VII represents professionals and institutions in the western United States, including Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, Northern Mariana Islands and Utah.
