Parking Lot & Road Closure for Summer Maintenance Project

  • June 24, 2016

Lot E, Lot F and all the main campus roads (West Loop, East Loop, Harder & Carlos Bee) are scheduled for maintenance/remodel work as part of our ongoing Summer maintenance program.  This project is set to begin this Monday, June 27 and is expected to last all Summer.

Lot E & Lot F will be closed starting this Monday, June 27 and will remain closed for most of the Summer.  No one will be allowed to park in these lots once construction begins.  These lot closures will primarily affect those that work in Facilities, RAW and the Science buildings.  Lot G will remain open, and is the recommended lot for those that normally park in Lot E or Lot F.  If you are a faculty or staff member, please do not park in Lot D in order for students using the RAW to have a place to park.

Portions of West Loop, East Loop, Harder Road and Carlos Bee Blvd. will be closed in phases over the Summer as work progresses.  The contractor’s plan is to try and keep at least one lane open at all times so that traffic flows.  However there may be times when an entire section may need to be closed.  We hope to mitigate these scenarios as much as possible.  Detour signs and flagmen, if necessary, will be used to direct traffic around any road closures.

AC Transit and our Campus Shuttles may be affected at times by the road closures.  We will do our best to keep to the current times and pickup/drop off locations, however temporary changes are to be expected in order to accommodate the scheduled road maintenance project.  Advance notice of any changes to pickup/drop off locations will be posted.

Please contact the Parking & Alternative Transportation Office (510) 885-3790 with any questions or concerns.
