CSU International Programs
encourages study abroad for an academic year to maximize both personal and academic growth, but offers semester options at a number of their locations.
- The following programs generally require a full-year commitment:
- Australia, Canada, Denmark, Japan, South Korea, and most United Kingdom locations.
- Occasionally an institution will have additional space and offer a few Spring Semester options, but in general you will need to commit to a full year for these locations.
- All other programs provide both semester and year-long options.

- Several other locations offer the opportunity to study 3-6 units of the local language, plus coursework in English.

- Looking for budget friendly options? A cost comparison chart is available .
- Programs in Germany, Ghana, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea and Taiwan are often less than Cost of Attendance for studying at a CSU!
Research coursework available (and preparing to discuss the course approval process with your academic advisors):
- Read the Academic Bulletin for the program(s) you're interested in (found under 'Academic Information' on the program page)
- Review the to see what previous students have received credit for! (You can filter by program, or major/minor or GE credit. Keep checking back as more courses are added.)
- Review the list of courses that have been pre-approved for General Education at CSUEB.

Application Tips:
- Once you have identified your first choice program, select 'Apply Now' from the Program page to begin your application.
- Apply by the Priority Deadline (generally February 15 or September 15) for best chance of acceptance!
- There is no application fee, and no official transcripts are required (at the time of application). Overseas institutions may require official transcripts later in the acceptance process.
