Her favorite class? HIST 3010: Benjamin Franklin and His World. Her book, The Methodists and Revolutionary America, won the 2001 Hans Rosenhaupt Book Award by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.
Professor specializes in the history of early America and the new republic. Her research plans include studies of religion and the American Revolution and antislavery in the new republic.
