Training & Development
At CSU East Bay, training and developing our university community is not only a necessity but also our mission. Our goal is to create an environment where people can achieve their full potential, increase their productivity, and expand their professional and personal horizons. Recognizing that individuals deserve relevant, comprehensive, and effective training and development opportunities, we are dedicated to providing meaningful programs that address the evolving needs of our employees and community partners.
CSU Learn & Required Training
California State University East Bay requires that employees take certain courses to comply with state and university requirements that are driven by federal law, state law or CSU policy.
-Table provides details on required training for CSU East Bay employees. All courses are available in CSU Learn Login
All operators of state vehicles and private vehicles while driving on state business must complete Defensive Drivers Training. Training is required every 4 years.
LinkedIn Learning
CSUEB has teamed up with LinkedIn Learning for staff and faculty. LinkedIn Learning has over 14,000 online video tutorials to provide relevant professional development training courses related to your job or interest to take your skills to the next level.
- Mandatory training's are auto-assigned by CSU Learn, and employees receive emails from the system with training links and instructions.
- Employees receive email reminders until the course is recorded as completed.
- When an employee is due to complete a training again, the employee will receive an email from CSU Learn 30 days prior to the expiration date of the certification.
- Email reminders are sent each week until the training is completed.
